His Majesty launches writing of Unissa mushaf, first convocation fest



His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Chancellor of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (Unissa), writing the first verse of Surah Al-Fatihah in Jawi Khat for the university's first mushaf project. Looking on are Unissa Rector Dr Hj Sarbini Matahir (L) and Minister of Education Pehin Dato Dr Hj Abu Bakar Hj Apong. Held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Brunei on 24th October 2011.

Brunei students for Malay Youth Development Summit



Three Sekolah Menengah Sayidinna Othman students have been selected to attend the Malay Youth Development Summit at the Malay College Kuala Kangsar in Perak, Malaysia.  One of them was my nephew Syairah (second from left). They were there for 9 days beginning on the June 19 to 27.
